As mentioned, the IS Summit will be held on the 5th floor of Cashion in the Hankamer School of Business on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 6:00 pm. The attire will be jeans and a t-shirt of an on-campus organization that you belong to. The evening will flow as follows:
- Career Mixer - For all of the MIS majors starting at 6:00 pm, come visit with recruiters and participate in a game for a chance to win different prizes, including a Nintendo Wii and an iPod!
Directions for the game:
-Write your first and last name, classifcation, and major on the card that you received when you walked in -Use this card to get to know other students at the IS Summit as you meet them
-When someone meets the criteria of one of the things listed on the card, have them sign the bottom of the appropriate square, keep in mind that only one person can sign for each square
-When you have completed the card, bring to a an IS Summit volunteer
- Welcome - Marc Link, Vice-President of Delta Sigma Pi and Career Development Chairman for the MIS Leadership Team
- Keynote Speech - Steve Reese, Director of Information Technology for the Houston Astros
- Dinner - Catered by McAllister's with Dr. Pepper floats provided by Aramark
- Door Prizes - Claudia Phelps and Kyla Davis will announce the winners of the game from earlier in the evening. After the winners of the game are announced, Kyla Davis will announce the winner of the ConocoPhillips Student Leader Award
- Dessert and after Dinner Conversation

About our Speaker, Steve Reese:
Steve Reese is in his fourth season with the Astros as Director of Information Technology. He is responsible for all information technology related activities for the Houston Astros and Minute Maid Park. Since arriving in Houston, Reese has spearheaded the development of the team's Pro & Amateur Scouting application, Ticketing, Time & Attendance, and Human Resources systems. Steve was also a founding member of the National Football Leagues’ Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and served as its Co-Chairman for three years. One of the most visible projects of the TAC was the design & implementation of the NFL’s “Game Day Live” system which features live game statistics on the NFL.com website.
